Plastic Free July
Why Plastic Free July? Summer is all about getting outside and enjoying ourselves in the company of friends. But have you noticed just how much single-use plastic there is at most of these get-togethers? Plastic forks, plastic cups, plastic plates, plastic straws, plastic tablecloths, and of course plastic water bottles and even the bags we throw all of this waste into are more single-use plastic. So what better month for a plastic-free movement.

Say No to Plastic, Create a Plastic-Free Bathroom
In honor of Plastic Free July, I and fellow bloggers joined together to bring you this post on how to pursue a plastic-free bathroom. Take a minute, go to your bathroom, and look around. How much plastic do you see? Even worse how much single-use plastic do you see? More than likely your eyes will fall on plastic toothbrushes, plastic shampoo bottles, make-up in plastic tubes, plastic razors, etc. We surround ourselves each morning with plastic everywhere. Let's see how we can do better. It's really not hard and together, we can make the world a better place (and our bathroom too!)

Most plastic never gets recycled and ends up in landfills or our oceans. What can we do to help clean up the oceans? Supporting small businesses that are actively creating products from ocean-bound plastic is one measure we can take or perhaps starting our own business to help clean up the oceans.
