Wild Horses of Colorado, Petroglyphs, Dinosaurs and more!
Earlier this month I realized summer was waning and I still hadn't gone on one of the road trips I'd put on my list to do for this summer; a trip to Sand Wash Basin to see wild mustangs. So on the calendar it went: 08/30-08/31. Turns out this was very good scheduling, the BLM is rounding up those very same mustangs, reducing the population from over 700 horses to a mere 50, with the round-up starting on September 01, just 2 days after our visit.

Costa Rica Day 3: Tinamaste
Exploring Tinamaste We'd chosen to stop and explore the Tinamaste area as it has an elevation of 764 meters (2506 feet), high enough to have a cooler climate than the beachfront areas like Dominical and Uvita. It is approximately 30 minutes by car to the beach, and 30 minutes to San Isidro de El General, a large city with a huge farmers market. Tinamaste is approximately a 3 1/2 hour drive from Juan Santamaria airport and also has its own organic farmers market and a thriving expat community.
