Costa Rica Itinerary -Day 10 Manuel Antonio to Carmona District
After having relaxed and enjoyed Manuel Antonio for almost two days, on the 10th morning of our Costa Rica exploratory trip we were ready to continue our journey. Today we would be heading to Carmona on the Nicoya Peninsula. Chances are you’ve never heard of Carmona. It’s situated on the east side of the Nicoya Peninsula above the Gulf of Nicoya. Carmona District as it’s officially known is listed as having a population of about 2700, which I’m sure has grown significantly in the last few years.

Costa Rica Itinerary Day 6: The Osa Peninsula: Sierpe
After our walk, we headed out for a drive to explore the Osa Peninsula. We drove to Ciudad Cortes which was a surprisingly large town, but not all that interesting. After that, we drove to Sierpe. Sierpe is one of the jumping-off points for Corcovado tours. If we had had time we certainly would have taken a tour to Corcovado National Park the "Crown Jewel" of Costa Rica's national parks!

Trip to Costa Rica: Day 1-Denver to Tres de Junio
Our trip to Costa Rica Begins It was exhilarating to finally be on our way and the excitement rose as the view from my window seat changed from the turquoise blue of the Caribbean sea to green, endless rolling mountains punctuated by an occasional dot or two that was an outlying finca.
